Lost photos, dead drive, dropped laptop? We recover data.
Hard drives, SSDs, USB sticks, memory cards, phones, RAID arrays. Whether it’s a dropped MacBook, an accidentally formatted drive, ransomware, or a phone that won’t turn on — we work to recover what matters. Free initial assessment, fixed quote before any deep recovery work, complete confidentiality.
The failures we see most often
Don’t panic. Don’t power-cycle the drive. Bring it to us before you make it worse — the original state is usually the easiest to recover from.
Dropped or damaged hard drives
Clicking, ticking, grinding noises — or just silent. Mechanical drives are precision instruments; physical recovery happens in our Class 100 cleanroom.
Dead SSDs & NVMe
Drive disappeared overnight? Controller fault, firmware corruption, NAND failure. SSDs fail differently to spinning drives — we have the tools for both.
Phones that won’t boot
Photos and messages on a dead phone? Sometimes the memory chip is recoverable even when the rest of the phone is gone — chip-off recovery on iPhone and Android.
Accidentally deleted / formatted
Hit delete, emptied the recycle bin, formatted the wrong drive? Often recoverable — as long as you stop using the drive immediately. Free initial assessment.
RAID & NAS failures
Multi-drive arrays, NAS units (Synology, QNAP), business storage. Failed parity, rebuild gone wrong, multiple drives dropped — we work case-by-case.
Ransomware & corruption
Files encrypted, drive partition gone, OS won’t boot but data still there. We don’t pay ransoms — but we’ll work to recover what we can from the underlying drive.
USB sticks & memory cards
SD cards from cameras, USB drives with critical files, microSD from a phone — logical recoveries usually fast and affordable.
Liquid-damaged devices
Laptop spill, phone in the toilet, drink on the camera. Memory chips often survive even when the rest doesn’t. Free initial assessment.
From dead drive to data in your hands
-
1
Get in touch
Describe the failure in plain language — what device, what happened, what you need recovered. We’ll let you know if it sounds like the kind of recovery we typically handle.
-
2
Drop in or post
Bring the device or drive into our Mullingar shop, or post it in. Free initial assessment to confirm the failure type and what’s recoverable.
-
3
In-depth diagnostic
For logical failures (formatted, deleted, corrupted), we image the drive and start recovery. For physical failures, the diagnostic happens in our Class 100 cleanroom. This stage is quoted before we start.
-
4
Recovery quote
Once we know what’s recoverable, we’ll quote a fixed price for the full recovery. You decide whether to proceed before any further work begins.
-
5
Recovery
Logical recoveries usually 2–5 days. Physical recoveries 5–14 days. Severe physical failures (badly damaged heads, multiple platter strikes) can take longer; we’ll keep you posted.
-
6
Return on fresh storage
Recovered data is delivered on a new external drive (included). The original failed device is returned with the data. Nothing is kept; everything we copied is wiped from our systems once you confirm receipt.
Real engineers. Confidential. Insured.
Free initial assessment
We’ll tell you whether the failure looks recoverable before you commit to anything.
No data, no fee
If we can’t recover what you need, you don’t pay for the recovery work.
Full confidentiality
NDA on request. Recovery handled by named technicians. Recovered data is wiped from our systems the moment you confirm receipt.
Class 100 cleanroom
For physical drive failures (head crashes, motor failures) we work in a Class 100 environment — less than 100 particles >0.5µm per cubic foot. No dust contamination, no further damage.
About data recovery
Will my data be confidential?
Yes — absolutely. NDA available on request, particularly for legal, medical or business cases. Recovery is handled by named technicians, not shared with third parties. Once you confirm receipt of the recovered data, the copy we hold is wiped from our systems.
How much does it cost?
Depends entirely on the failure. Simple logical recoveries (deleted files, formatted drives) are at the lower end. Physical failures requiring cleanroom work cost more. We’ll always quote a fixed price before any recovery work begins — never a "we’ll see when we’re done" charge.
What’s the success rate?
Depends on the failure. Logical recoveries are usually 90%+ if the drive is brought in straight away. Physical recoveries vary — from 95%+ for simple head failures down to "very difficult, no guarantee" for severe platter damage. We’ll tell you honestly what we think the odds are after the initial assessment.
How long does it take?
Logical recoveries 2–5 working days. Physical recoveries 5–14 working days. We’ll give you a clearer time estimate once we’ve done the in-depth diagnostic.
Do you do emergency / rush recoveries?
Yes — if you need it faster (legal deadlines, business continuity), we can sometimes prioritise. There’s usually a rush surcharge; we’ll quote it upfront.
My drive is making clicking noises — should I keep trying?
No — power it off immediately and bring it in. Clicking usually means the read/write heads are crashing into the platters. Every minute it runs is more damage. Don’t use recovery software either — that makes physical failures worse.
Can you recover photos from a dead iPhone?
Often, yes — particularly if the failure is water damage, a board fault, or a screen issue rather than NAND chip damage. We’ll know more after the initial assessment.
What if I already tried recovery software?
That’s fine for logical failures — sometimes makes recovery harder but rarely impossible. For physical failures (clicking, grinding), DIY software can cause additional damage. Tell us what you tried so we can factor it in.
Post your drive in — insured, tracked, confidential.
For high-value recoveries we recommend insured tracked courier. We assess in our cleanroom and return your recovered data on a new external drive.
