How it works

From your hands to ours and back — explained

Most mail-in repairs are turned around within 3–5 working days from the moment your device arrives at the shop.

  1. 1

    Get in touch first

Drop us a WhatsApp, email or call. Tell us what device and what’s wrong. We’ll let you know if it’s something we typically fix and roughly what to expect.

  2. 2

    Pack it safely

Wrap the device in bubble wrap or padding, drop it in a sturdy box, and include a slip with your name, phone and a one-line note about the problem. Tips below.

  3. 3

    Send it tracked

Use An Post Tracked or any courier with insurance. Address: Creative IT, Castle Street, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, N91. Keep the tracking number.

  4. 4

    Free initial assessment

The moment your device arrives, we’ll do a no-charge initial assessment to confirm the fault. If it needs a deeper diagnostic (component-level work, data recovery), we’ll quote that separately before starting.

  5. 5

    Quote & approval

We’ll send you a written quote covering parts and labour. Nothing happens until you say yes — and if you don’t want to proceed, we’ll send the device back at cost of return postage only.

  6. 6

    Repair

Most repairs done in 1–3 working days once approved. Component-level board work or data recovery may take longer; we’ll tell you upfront.

  7. 7

    Return delivery

Repacked, courier-collected, fully tracked back to you. You get the tracking number by email. The 12-month repair warranty starts the day you receive it.

Pack it right

Four tips that save us both time

Use a sturdy box

A padded envelope is fine for small phones; everything else needs a real box. Bubble wrap the device on all sides — especially screens and corners.

Skip the accessories

Don’t send chargers, cases or SIM cards unless we ask for them. Less stuff = less to track, less to lose, lower postage. Same goes for stickers and add-ons.

Include a note

One sheet of paper with your name, mobile, email and a one-line description of the fault. That’s all we need. We’ll do the rest.

Track and insure

Always use a tracked service. For high-value devices (MacBooks, iPhone Pros, gaming consoles), pay for insurance. An Post Tracked Insured or DPD work great.

Common questions

About sending stuff in

How much does the postage cost?

You cover the cost of sending to us. An Post Tracked for phones/tablets is around €9–15 depending on weight; couriers are more. We cover return postage on standard repairs (under 2kg, within Ireland). For overseas or oversized return shipping, we’ll quote.

How long is the turnaround?

Most mail-in repairs are returned within 3–5 working days from when your device arrives. Component-level board work or data recovery can take longer — we’ll tell you upfront once we’ve assessed it.

What if you can’t fix it?

Then you don’t pay for the repair. You only cover the return postage if you want it back. We’ll send it back unrepaired with an honest explanation of what we found.

Do I need insurance on the postage?

We strongly recommend insurance for anything worth more than €200 — if the courier damages or loses it before it reaches us, that’s between you and them. Standard tracked services usually include some cover; ask the courier what’s included.

Do you ship internationally?

We accept devices from Northern Ireland and the UK as standard. For EU customers, please WhatsApp first so we can confirm couriers and customs paperwork — usually fine for repairs but worth checking.

Will my data be safe?

For most repairs we don’t need to access your data — we never browse your photos or messages. For repairs that require booting the device (slow PCs, virus removal, OS issues), we’ll let you know in advance. Devices going to the cleanroom for data recovery are handled by named technicians under NDA.

Can I get my repair quote in writing first?

Yes — every quote goes by email. Nothing is repaired without you replying to confirm. If you’d rather decide on a phone call, just say so.

What if my device is under warranty with the manufacturer?

If it’s still under Apple/Samsung/manufacturer warranty, send it to them first — our repair will void any remaining manufacturer cover. We’ll happily look at devices once the manufacturer warranty has ended or after they’ve refused a repair.
